Actually, the biggest reason kids don't do well in school is because they are not supported at home. This is proven over and over, so focus on that. How can you help them, support them? Becoming a grant writer, maybe, or an organizer, and maybe counseling or public admin. All law does is make/write/work with law, not enforce it. Be on the other side, the side where the action is.
 
...fair education? Somehow I believe law would prepare me a great deal for this. I would like to come up with programs and other officious matter for children in said position. So law? Any other suggestions?
