I would, yes. But not everyone feels the same.

My view is that the government cannot tell the church what parameters to put on marriage. Likewise, however, the church cannot dictate to the government what parameters define a mated couple.

If Justices of the Peace performed civil unions and church officials performed marriages, I'd be ok with that.
 
i would lead a happy life, yes. all i really want is the right to get married, but calling it something different is still not equality, which is what i'm fighting for in the end. separate but equal is NOT equal.
 
I think every gay person may have a different answer for you.

I am a lesbian and I think I would be pretty happy with that.

I would be even happier if the word "marriage" was taken completely out of govt and law, and only reserved for religious matters. Wouldn't it make the most sense if under law every couple straight or gay, just got a "Civil Union License"?
