Would Apple replace an iPhone that has non functional home button?

Did you contact them first? If not, then you might have a problem. If anything happens and you know you got a warranty...Don't go to NO SHADE TREE MECHANICS

I got my phone screen repaired by a guy about 2 months ago.I had the phone since March. The button just stopped working completely so would apple give me a free phone?
The guy told me it would void my warranty if he repaired my phone, but do you hink they'd just give me a phone right on the spot once they see the button isn't functional? Would they need to open up the phone?
