I really wanna get one or two orandas. But I dont want to put my other fishies in danger. I have a few small goldfish and one pleco. Will they get along? And am I better off just getting one or should I get a pair or more?
also, I was wondering if I could feed my goldfish bloodworms. I read it was good for them. I've been feeding them flakes but have some bloodworms at home that I feed my betta along with his normal flakes.

First, goldfish have problems digesting meaty foods. You could feed them a little bit of the bloodworms, but dont feed them at all the next day. You dont want to do this often at all. Goldfish should primarily be fed veggies of some sort.

Second, an oranda is a goldfish. Orandas grow to about 8-10 inches on average, while normal goldfish grow to 16 inches. Normal goldfish will actually harass the orandas and any other type of fancy goldfish, often to death. I doubt you have an adequate tank for your current goldfish, so theres no point in making it worse.

For two normal goldfish, you should have a minimum of 75 gallons. They grow to 16 inches, so the room is needed.

For two orandas, youll need at least 30-40 gallons just for those two fish alone. Goldfish of all sorts are large fish. If you dont have the proper room for them, you shouldnt be keeping them.
