...idea? I have been thinking about this for a while. There are too many uninformed, plain-out ignorant voters in this country. On the one side, you have people voting for McCain/Palin because God told them to, and on the other side, you have people voting for Obama just because of the color of his skin. That shouldn't be how it works.
My idea is to have a general knowledge test before each election. It would ask questions relating to the policies of the respective candidates. For example:
Question 1:
True or False:
Barack Obama is a proponent same sex marriage.
And yes, I know, our country has a dark past with things, like literacy tests in southern states to keep African Americans from voting. However, this would not be targeted at a specific race, gender, religion, or other politically correct category. It would be aimed at the one category that swings elections: Stupid People, White and Black, Male and Female, Rich and Poor, etc, etc...
I know it sounds cruel, offensive, and, as it stands, would be very unconstitutional, but I really do think it would better our country.
