Would a ktm 300 xc or a yz 250 be a good starter bike for me?

i'm 17 years old 6', 250lbs. i keep hearing how much more fun I would have on a 2 stroke and that i just would just have to get used to it a little be for i rode hard.I also keep hearing how much easier it is working on 2 strokes for maintenance. i wouldnt be riding on mx tracks just woods and gravel pits and stuff. thx for the help
