Would a Halo Quality CGI series or DTV be possible?...

I mean good CGI like from the upcoming reach or from Halo Wars. I am so sick and tired of waiting for the movies to be made, and I think Halo is such an awesome and original story, and has so much potential, (I suggest you read the Halo encyclopedia if you disagree,) I love the games but really want either a CGI DTV or a Series on CN or something, I think the ratings would be turn out well, while I abhore most Anime, I somewhat enjoyed Halo Legends a little, well only 3-4 of the shorts (the rest sucked horribly) anyways, I think if they were to do a show or DTV it should be modeled off of the original style from the games, (Character designs, colors, voices, and such)
anyone else think it would be cool?
Note: Please don't post negative or rude messages, if you don't like Halo or any of these ideas don't post or just simply answer the question in the title of this post, thanks :)

It would be possible, but keeping the same quality as the CGI in the games for the length of a TV season would be very expensive. It's more likely it would take a bit of a hit in visual quality in translation.

It totally depends on their commitment.

One of the frusterating things in this respect is it takes time to design the character models, time to setup a smooth production process, time to render all the stuff, time to get the technology in place.

After all this time, you can essential hit the "Go" button and be on your merry way for a smooth production process, but for reasons unknown, most companies who invest this huge amount of time into the setup for a few cinematics never seem to decide to take all this work and redirect towards another venue.

True, you have to be more versatile when creating a series rather then pretty looking cinematics, but I believe the over all point is valid. Once you have committed the time, resources and money into creating the cinematics, the next logical step would be to reuse everything you just created in another venue to maximize your profits from the time and money investiment you made.

I'm *REALLY* surprised that in today's age, some companies aren't pioneering this. Even just a few years ago this wasn't as possible, but in today's age, the transition could be seamless.
