Would I take less classes to become a professor than a teacher? I realize that to be a university professor you need a doctorate to even apply, but it seems that to become a professor you simply focus on getting your degree in your subject of study (correct?), whereas to be a teacher, you need to double major in your area of subject and education, then get your teaching certificate and take any tests they make you take to be accepted into that school. Good god! I'd rather take 8 years of my area of study class.
