Im looking to get a ford mustang. Its been my DREAM to own one. Im a college student, so Id be using it as a daily driver. Would a 60s mustang be a good daily driver? What are some things I should look for when buying a daily driver mustang? What upgrades/custom stuff should I do?

Any other info would be awesome!

I used a '66 for almost three years as a daily driver. Just keep the car well tuned, or install a modern distributor with electronic ignition, good wires and a high-energy coil. Make sure the tranny is in good shape. I had mine rebuilt and beefed up. Change all of the fluids and enjoy the car. Only down side that I had was the lack of a windshield defroster.

one ,youd want a auto ,shifting does use more fuel ,2 and find a 6 clyd ora 289 but stay out of the secondaries hard accelaration uses alot more fuel ,but if you stay in the primarys ,less fuel than a two barrel will be used ,as far as a car being worthy of the road that old ,? look around youll find one ,,,for around three grand if it in decent shape ,and of coarse expect to put morework into it ,up grades get it running right first ,,,,after market heads ,exhaust ,intake ,carb ect ,the list goes on
