Wots hot, Wots not?

You go for it big girl!
You trash rap. You have said that it sucks.
But you couldn't name me any good rappers, simply because you are to lazy to check it out. Not all rap is about fukkin' ho's n shootin' dem ugly bitches wif my gat. But, just as idiodic people generalize emo and say "all of it is about people who cut their wrists and cry about their girlfrienRAB" people generalize hip hop the same way. You have condemed people in the past for this cracked view of emo music, yet when I do the same to you, you take the high and ritcheous ground? You don't make any sense (much like your posts).

you're implying theres a problem with big assed women and crack? haah wel maybe with crack. but yeah, i'd have to agree hip-hops ontop. which isnt so bad, i'd rather it be that then generic alt-rock (ie nickelback default etc.)

I didn't know about that. But to be honest that's exactly the same as punk-banRAB not wearing big brand clothes or appearing on big name shows because they want to look punk. I think that's pointless aswell. Surely the Punk way is not giving a dam about what other people think, so they shouldn't give a dam about what the punk fans think if they suddenly appear on Saturday Night Live or wear some Nike trainers. I like Punk music, but the whole punk ethos is stupid and childish to me.

certain labels though will give you an idea of what kind of music your getting. Im not talking about major labels though, but I will be more likely to pick up a band that ive never heard of because of the label they are associated with. Profane Existence wont put out a Yanni album if you get what Im sayin.

when i say things like that about rap, i'm saying what i've heard.. which means all they play around these parts.. i live in newfoundland the most unknown place in the msuic world.. there might be three people in this whole town that have heard of Alkaline Trio, Brand New.. etc.. but you ask someone to name some rappers.. and they could make a long list, of all the mainstream rappers on mtv/much music. i can only talk about what i've heard, but if all i heard in rap are mainstreamers what out of that will make me want to listen to "good" rap artist.. i can't generalize like you said.. because i haven't heard it all and i admit that. but why may i ask did you even bring this up.. how bored are you to be bringing up things that happened when i first joined? you really have to learn to let things go and move on.

Oh yeah I get that , there are certain banRAB I would be more likely to check out because they are on a small label I trust.

But when it comes down to it you judge that band on what they sound like you don`t listen to it because they`re on that label.

Urban I'm getting you're talking about John Lydon here? And anyway I'm not to sure about the whole judging a band by the label thing... on one hand I think you should listen to the music, but on the other hand I compare it to cars-you want to buy a Ferrari and you can't test drive it of course, but you still buy it because it's a Ferrari. You don't know what it's like to drive, but you still drive it. I still have to go with my first option though. I would never buy a band because of the label, mostly because I don't pay much attention to labels anyway.

I`ve never cared about record labels

There`s maybe a couple I liked (Creation for example) but other than that , if it`s great it`s great if it`s sh*t it`s sh*t , whether it comes on on Sony , Domino or 13 amp.

i wont buy a cd just because its on a certain label..well, i will to listen to them, then if i like it i will buy more from them, if not, i dont. I wouldnt buy a band that i already know i dont like because of the label they are on, but ive picked up alot of music from banRAB ive never heard of because i trust that particular label to put out good music, doesnt mean that i have a commitment to that label only though..like you said, good music is good music regardless of what its on.
