Worst villainous plots in animation

I don't mean worst as in most evil (there's already a thread for that), I mean worst as in most ill-advised. The plans that just seemed destined to fail.

My vote: the human scientists' plot to destroy the Autobots by infecting them with the Hate Plague in The Return of Optimus Prime. Did it ever occur to them that some humans might get contaminated, as well?
 
Granted, Brain may or may not be evil, but could be deemed antagonistic with his attempt of world domination. That said, in a Pinky & The Brain short (episode title escapes me), Brain planned to get funding for his latest scheme on a game show much like Jeopardy.

Given his intellect, it seemed like a good plan, but was doomed for failure as he didn't bother to bone up on any trivia related to entertainment (and the show in question happened to ask him a question relating to a tv show that he didn't watch or knew nothing about).
 
Ooh, let's see, how about the time in the Powerpuff Girls (episode escapes me) where Mojo Jojo attempted to prevent the girls from "kicking his butt" by attaching a steal plate to his buttocks. Needless to say... it didn't work. I'm tempted to add Yugioh's "destroy the hero by defeating him in a card game" that seems to be used by every villain in the series (that I've seen, anyway; not seen much of GX or 5ds.)
 
There are similar duels where villains either are able to destroy the world or the main character by defeating them in a duel in both GX and 5D's. I never actually thought that it was a terrible villainous plot, considering how there are magical elements that cause the duels to bring real damage to both players and villains in other series have just the main goal of destroying the hero. Though, I can understand why the premise of using a card game to accomplish that goal could look really silly/weird to people.

I would add most of, if not all of, Doofenshmirtz's plans to take control of the Tri-State Area. Although, since he's more of a comic relief character and actually wants, in a sense, for Perry to destroy his plans, I'm not sure if he would fit this category. He was the first person I thought of when I saw this thread title.
 
How about that episode of the 80's TMNT cartoon where Shredder and his goons actually open a pizza parlor called "Weird Pizza" theorizing that, eventually, the Turtles will order a pizza from them and they'll find out where their hideout is? :sad: Talk about a million-to-one shot...
 
I thought that was a good plan. Though I wonder why they never thought on the Idea of using poison gas in the tunnels. O'wait.. it's a kids show. Silly me.

But.. not sure what to go with. There's so many. I mean, is it the plots that are just for fun or just realy plain bad(like my spelling).

Have to go with.. most of the 80's(like another guy already said).
 
I once saw an episode of Hong Kong Fuey where a villain who has a machine that can make it rain when he wants it to. So what does he do with it? Flood the city for ransom? Use it make heists easier to pull off? No, he uses it to force people to buy his umbrellas. Yes you heard me, he's an evil umbrella salesman. I dare you to find a plan this stupid.
 
Anything Butters thought up as Professor Chaos seems like it'd fit the bill. I'm not sure how he planned to bring destruction and doom by replacing the filling of chocolate-covered cherries with expired mayonnaise.
 
Cobra Commander using a laser to carve his face on the moon. As Destro said "you wasted our money on THIS? Cosmic Graffiti?":shrug:. It doesnt get any worse than that people.
 
There was one episode of Challenge of the Superfriends that had the Legion of Doom going into the future and taking over the world. Wouldn't it have made more sense for them to have gone back to the past and remade the world in their image? :shrug:

Come to think of it, a lot of their plans didn't make much sense and were doomed to failure.
 
Well, they did try to change several of the heroes' origins so they wouldn't exist. This doesn't make sense because in Pre-Crisis continuity, some of the villains' motives were based on the heroes they erased, and thus their lives would have changed as well.
-Pre-Crisis Luthor blamed Superboy for botching a rescue that left him bald.
-Cheetah's personality was based on super-jealousy of Wonder Woman.
-Bizarro is a clone of Superman.
 
What about Broly from Dragonball Z? DBZ fans act like he's so awesome but the only reason he's so crazy and evil is because Goku cried a lot when they were babies.

Get over it, man.
