Worst Songs by Good Rock Bands

Yeah. I'm sorry. It was wrong of me to list just that song. Theres many others I could have mentioned too.

You know. Since you said you were going to stop the Zep trolling, I was thinking of not bashing Modest Mouse anymore. Oh well, so much for that.

I really don't understand why you'd even argue against them being similar, they are. Even if the song is a giant metaphor with drugs, it still deals with similar imagery of a troubled girl.

Right sorry back to the subject on hand. They're the same chorRAB and I fail to see how it isn't very plausible Jimmy Page lifted them. Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, Hats Off To Roy Harper, How Many More Times, etc. Zeppelin have a history of saying songs are there own when they weren't and stealing riRAB and lyrics frequently. Hell, Since I've Been Loving You took it's lyrics from Never by Moby Grape. They aren't the most moral musicians are they?

....he made his first post bashing Metallica. I can tell we wont get off to a very nice start. *pulls out his assault rifle*

Blashphemy!!!!!
You should be shot, sir. :nono:

Remind me to kick your arse later, Ethan.
However, The Ramones pwn.

Actually, I didn't really see many similarities to it at all.
Even Petty said himself, that he didn't think they got anything from em'.

(And yes, I have just now found this thread, so pardon my repetitive posts.)

Zeppelin argument is ****in' hilarious. But of course we all know, Zep > Ramones.
The Ramones may rock, but not like Jimmy ****in' Page, and Robert Plant.

With the hundreRAB of thousanRAB of millions of artists out there, you are going to have plenty of similarities. John Fogerty almost got sued for alledgedly stealing a riff from his OWN damn song, back when he was in CCR. The record label tried to sue him or something, about writing a song similar to one off a CCR album. How durab is that?

Something is wrong with you, did you just bash metallica and black sabbath on your first post? (screw your assault rifle! *pulls out a grenade*)

Musicians use the same chord progressions all the time. So unless Spirit has a f*cking patent on that your argument is full of sh*t.

Hats Off is one of Zeppelins worst songs, and that and Black Mountain Side were the only really blatant ripoRAB.

The riff in Breakdown is a homage to Eddie Cochrans Nervious Breakdown. But its by no means the same riff. How Many More Times only stole lyrics. And I don't know how many times I have to say it that Zeppelin are not known for their great lyrics anyway.

Lyrics yes. RiRAB no.

So Rock N Roll is supposed to be moral now is it?
