Worst sequels ever

I thought American Pie 3 was terrible and I love the first two. Wouldn't touch Band Camp with an extra long barge pole. The Sherminator and Jims Dad were not what American Pie was about!

Speed 2 really was awful.

I thought MI:2 was better than the first. Seemed to have more of a focus whereas the first couldn't decide whether it was an intelligent thriller or a daft action flick. Not really enough of either. Think the image that sticks with me is David Schneider as the train driver fainting. :confused:
 
Weekend at Bernies 2 was such a disapointment after the first film.

Terminator 3, such a boring storyline, no Linda Hamilton and I didn't like the different John Connor.
 
Any of the texas chainsaw massacre sequels. not including the remake though because i found that to be better than the original

Schneider is my abiding memory of Mission Impossible too. The sequel had too many slow motion bits with 'haunting' music played over the top. Too many shots of Cruise's hair flapping in the wind. Shame, cos the opening scene as he mountain climbs is ace.
 
Highlander 2, 3 & 4. None of them making sense and all making a mockery of the first film.

Alien 3 & 4

Exorcist 2

Omen 4

Star Trek: Insurrection & Nemesis.

I too agree with a load of the others already mentioned.

Good to hear that you like it .. but I thought it was awful. Hated it as a child, disappointed by it as an adult. I really like dark stuff but I just thought it was very poor and totally unneccesary. That's just my opinion. Sorry :cry: I do love the original Oz though .. and even The Wiz!

I haven't seen it, but you just know "Basic Instincts 2" is horrific. The trailer exposes the fact it is simply a re-hased modern version of the original - the storyline seems to follow exactly the same pattern.

The first film wasn't even that good - it aged very badly, too. This sequal looks just awful, can't imagine what possessed them to even make it. Sharon Stone is very foolish to have had any part in it, also.
 
'An American Werewolf in Paris'. Tried watching the other night. Got past the bit where one of the clean cut US boys saved a girl by bungee jumping off the Eiffel Tower but gave in during the horrendous 'amusing' musical sequence that followed where they try to find her suicide letter by peeping over the shoulders of reading Parisians (the next day!).
