Worst sequels ever

I obviously strongly disagree with you there. I would suggest watching it again. To me watching a film on a small television with rubbish speakers whilst probably being distracted by one thing after another is not worth the time or effort for me.

To truly experience a film you have to watch it in a fantastic environment. If for whatever reason you can't watch the film at the cinema/at the cinema (without distraction), then a home environment with a big widescreen TV and surround sound system is always a big plus as well as the lighting of the room in which you are watching it (that helps too). :D
 
I agree with Highlander 2 - incomprehensible rubbish through and through. The popularity of Highlander the TV series seemed to help with getting further movies made - there's another on the way.

Also Pirahna II: The Flying Killers - the first was knowing fun, the 2nd was awful

Can't bring myself to watch Blade Trinity as I know it will tarnish my liking of the first two,
 
Highlander 2: The Quickening

IMO, one of the worst sequels ever made - muddled and largely disoriented. For some reason the scriptwriters seemed compelled to derail from the original tried and tested formula and plunge head first into a cavern of obstinate folly, and in doing so destroyed everything that was prevalent and appealing in the original.
 
Candyman 2. Candyman 1 is a great horror film about urban myths. Candyman 2 took all the interesting stuff and threw it away, and instead replaced it with a dreadful "bloodline" plot. Badly made, too - full of unsubtle mirror shots. It's one of those sequels which isn't just a bad film in its own right, it goes back and infects the original.

It was made in the same year as Hellraiser 4 and another Cliver Barker film - I think he really split his attention and all 3 films suffered. HR4 also had a bloodline plot which sucked. It created some back story for the toymaker who made the Lament Configuration and that sucked too. Truly dire dialogue. However, the franchise had already started going downhill with Hellraiser 3, so it's not such a loss.

Hellraiser 5 is not a great film, but not dreadful either and worth seeing if you like that kind of thing. Not much gore. I gather there's a Hellraiser 6 but I've not been able to find a copy.
 
I know what you mean. I saw it in the cinema when it first came out. Its a good film, no doubt. I can still remember the voice of that medium, lol - it was weird & bizzare & certainly added to the spookiness of the whole thing but its just the theme that doesnt quite agree with me, well not as done in Poltergeist.:rolleyes: :)

Back to the future (Part one) was a great spectacle in Sci-Fi entertainment. The seocnd had a clever plot that interweaved well with the first. The third was probably the worst but isn't on the owrst sequels list surely?? :(
 
;5367400']I mean, the movie is fine itself. Just as a sequel it sucked, they waited too long to make it and came of imitating it badly, and what was up with the absense of a soundtrack? T2 had an excellent one, T3 had none or very little.
T2 had a perfectly sound ending, but no... they had to open it up and screw with the story line. Now, the ending of T3 is just asking for it to be continued because they didn't close it up properly. So the the story now goes back to T1 and so on, in a loop, over and over again. Like how does that work...
 
Ocean's Twelve is the only film i've ever given up on watching, total self-absorbed tripe.

After seeing Police Academy (the first one) the other day, I think it's quite sad the terrible sequels have given it a reputation for being rubbish, i thought it was pretty good. Anyone agree?
