Worst reviewed movies of the decade

The only one I can even recall seeing was the Rollerball remake, and it was indeed crap of the highest order.

Some of them,at least from their two line synopses, don't really sound too bad.

Surprisingly,I haven't seen any of the IMDB bottom 100 either, even with such credible titles such as Fat Slags,The Tony Blair Witch Project,Santa With Muscles, and The Barbaric Beast Of Boggy Creek-part 2.:D

Must say I have seen

- Date Movie
- Deck the Halls
- Good Luck Chuck
- Dirty Love
- Meet the Spartans
- Epic Movie

AND I'm not ashamed to say that I've seen them.. maybe except 'meet the spartans' :o

I did see Date Movie which was truly dire. Christmas With The Kranks wasn't THAT bad but not great either. Quite happy to say those are the only two of the list that I've seen.

I have the following on DVD...yes I buy a lot of cr*p horror films.

Lost Souls
Dragonfly
The Fog
Soul Survivors
Darkness
Bless The Child
Twisted

In addition I have seen:

Alone In The Dark

I can confirm none of them are very good.

Off that list i've seen 'The Fog (2006), 'Good Luck Chuck', 'GoRABend', 'The Whole Ten YarRAB', 'Twisted', and 'One Missed Call'.

'The Fog' remake is actually one of the very worst films i've ever seen and definitely deserves to be nearer the top spot. 'One Missed Call' was just irritating. The phone is ringing, and you KNOW that if you answer it you'll die...and the stupid bints answer it anyway....

Both of the 'Hostel' films should be on there, as should 'Underworld', 'Lady In The Water', 'The Happening' and 'Bicentennial Man' (i think that was released in 2000 in the UK).

I've watched all as follows, if i liked them i'll say;

Cheaper By the Dozen 2 (2005) - i liked this film
Boat Trip (2003)
Babylon A.D. (2008) - liked this one
Big Momma's House 2 (2006) - love this film, and the original
Deck the Halls (2006)
Son of the Mask (2005)
Gigli (2003)
Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie (2004) - it was ok
The Fog (2005)
Zoom (2006) - liked this one
Code Name: The Cleaner (2007)
Meet the Spartans (2008)
Epic Movie (2007)

Out of that list i've seen -

Doogal (Which is actually The Magic Roundabout)
Son Of The Mask
Christmas With The Kranks
Epic Movie

I'd expected to have seen loaRAB of them as i have a habbit of watching shockingly bad films :p Son Of The Mask was fairly shit, and Epic Movie was as well. However, The Magic ROundabout was fairly good, and i love watching Christmas With The Kranks!

I've seen two of those bad boys. Basic Instinct 2 *shudders* & Battlefield Earth. :D

Most of the rest I would never even consider watching... apart from Whiteout, but I do have a thing for Kate Beckinsale. The rest, well...

I want to know why Dungeons and Dragons (2000) isn't in there. That really is one of the worst films I've ever seen.

I've only seen one on that list and that was House of Dead. Admittedly, it was jaw droppingly bad but it never really claimed to be anything other that a straight to DVD, Poundland effort as with many on that list judging by the covers and synopsis'. I've seen many 'acclaimed' films that I could happily add to the list of worst films of the decade.

Well, I have seen only 2 out of the 100 listed there:

88 Minutes (ranked 59)

GoRABend (ranked 57)

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are in each film respectively. I'm a huge fan, so I tend to watch any movie they star in.

Hard to argue with that list. It's like a glimpse into hell.
Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus & The Spirit needed to be in there tho...

I can confess to buying 3 of them -

Battlefield Earth - not sure why, despite the bad reviews I wrongly believed that it must surely have some merit. Nope.

Sound Of Thunder - this and the next one I bought sight unseen, came out early on R1 dvd and I knew little about them, so took a punt. I knew this one because of the original short story, but was a little suspicious I had not heard of it being released. It was pretty dreadful. A bastardisation of the original story to be sure. I can remember some weird creature that was on a killing spree, and someone worked out it's weak spot was under it's chin. So...what did it do when it was just about to kill someone? Well, of course it reared up and threw it's head back and roared, practically painting a target on it's weak area. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Ballistic, Ecks vs Siever. - I have kind of erased this one from my memory. I can remember watching it open-mouthed at it's sheer badness, but I cannot remember what on earth it was about...just a sort of silly cat-and-mouse game between two assasins or something.

Some omissions from that list for me would be De Palma's Femme Fatale...and in fact you can also add his Raising Cain, Bonfire of the Vanities, Snake Eyes, Mission to Mars and Redacted. How the mighty have fallen...

I;ve seen:

Cheaper by the dozen 2: I liked it lol, nowhere near as good as the first though
Babylon A.D: Thought this was ok too
Gigli: Didn't think this was nearly as bad as everyone made out
Good Luck Chuck: Quite possibly the worst film i've ever seen
Because I Said So: ****!!!
Material Girls: Well i switched off after 20 minutes...really bad
I don't own any of these however lol
