I can confess to buying 3 of them -
Battlefield Earth - not sure why, despite the bad reviews I wrongly believed that it must surely have some merit. Nope.
Sound Of Thunder - this and the next one I bought sight unseen, came out early on R1 dvd and I knew little about them, so took a punt. I knew this one because of the original short story, but was a little suspicious I had not heard of it being released. It was pretty dreadful. A bastardisation of the original story to be sure. I can remember some weird creature that was on a killing spree, and someone worked out it's weak spot was under it's chin. So...what did it do when it was just about to kill someone? Well, of course it reared up and threw it's head back and roared, practically painting a target on it's weak area. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Ballistic, Ecks vs Siever. - I have kind of erased this one from my memory. I can remember watching it open-mouthed at it's sheer badness, but I cannot remember what on earth it was about...just a sort of silly cat-and-mouse game between two assasins or something.
Some omissions from that list for me would be De Palma's Femme Fatale...and in fact you can also add his Raising Cain, Bonfire of the Vanities, Snake Eyes, Mission to Mars and Redacted. How the mighty have fallen...
