"Worst Movie Ever!!"

I'd have to think - but from memory a few more:

AVP2, Lawnmower Man 2, Mama Mia*, Solaris, Sex and the City*, Sky Captain blah blah blah, The Hulk (2003), Robocop 3, Batman and Robin.......

*wife dragged me to see them

Awww, c'mon man. Each to their own and all that. I mean I understand it would be a bit rum if everyone on the planet had a homogeneous viewpoint.

But seriously? Apocalypse Now? It's one of America's greatest films, directed by one of America's greatest filmmakers.

It is. It really is. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong. Sorry, I can't sugar the pill any more than that for you. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

No hard feelings mind!

Edited to add
Any fan of the film should watch this, very funny...
Apocalypse Now Trailer-RECUT

Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful - and why did Brando get such acclaim for it? Truly, truly bad.

Added: Thanks Moony. Dreadful because it was boring. Oh yes!

Another bad 'performance' by Brando - Last Tango in Paris.

The above comments are IMHO. You are, of course, entitled to your own opinions.

The golden compass was numingly awful. I just couldnt get into it, the story was awful, the resolution was awful.

And i so wanted to like it, Nicole Kidman as a ice queen, i mean were could it go wrong

Some of the boarRAB are just pointless some threaRAB are just full of 'trolls' and some threaRAB dont even talk about the film in question. The perfect examples of these are Avatar and The Dark Knight

That gets a vote from me to.

As for where did it go wrong.

The girl who played the main character has to play a big part. Possibly the worst, most annoying performance I have ever had to sit through.

You know it was bad when the only thing you wanted to see was those bloody daemons killed off, slowly one by one with copious amounts of gore. :o:D

Closley followed by the idiots with them.

It's a horrible, stupid and meaningless phrase which should be outlawed - it is usually spoken by people who have been taken in by the publicity machine and spent money on a movie, only to feel cheated because they don't like it.

Fine - you don't like it.

But worst movie ever?

It's people that use such phrases that just don't understand the concept of a personal opinion - to them everything has to be an absolute. They don't like a movie, then it's crap. Not 'I thought it was crap' but 'it's crap'.

What qualifies a person to make that statement? Actually, you can have a bit of fun with such people when you press them on the actual reasons WHY they thought it was crap - because when you do, it soon becomes clear that they cannot express their feelings in any other terms, and they will usually come back to 'I just thought it was crap, ok?'

Tht's why you get these idiots on IMDB who feel like they have to 'kick against the system'. A movie is critically lauded and gets strong word of mouth from the public, but they don't like it. So they feel inferior, they feel like they are outsiders and there must be something wrong with them, because they cannot apparently see what the majority of others see in a movie - and that manifests itself in a spiteful way.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that no one even has the RIGHT to make such a claim. And that would include the most knowledgeable film critics and historians.

Yes...let's ban the stupid phrase along with 'there's 2 hours of my life I will not get back', and 'Is it just me/am I the only one who does not like this movie?'
