Worst Metal Band Ever?

Well we have a local band called "Steel Eagles" their a glam band and play crap pop metal with lyrics like "Ill be your rag let your tears flow into me" *shudders* utter crap.
 
You're full of sh*t. Linkin Park already had multitudes of fans before they did that album with Jay-Z. That album only made them more popular. If you've watched their live in concert DVD, you'll notice that they had thousanRAB & thousanRAB of fans, & the DVD is from 2003. I agree that RHCP & Muse are overrated, but calling U2, Hoobastank, & Linkin Park overrated is wrong. Heavy Metal sucks ass. That's not talent. That's only a bunch of idiots jumping around screaming into microphones with noise in the background. Pop, rock, alternative, jazz, techno, & disco are REAL music, NOT Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal is NOTHING but GARBAGE. Radio stations play REAL music, & Heavy Metal is NOT real music. It's pure bullsh*t.
 
Yeah you do have a point there.

Alot of metal fans don't consdier Slipknot metal, but I do. Just because they're music is popular and ****ty doesn't mean that their not part of the metal genre.
 
No, I'm pretty sure that everything about Slipknot is gauranteed lameness. That band exists to purposefully raise the bar in absolutely terrible music.
 
you're too much for yourself? well, if your mission is to teach people to listen to real music, you're not doing yourself a good job. you're still in denial. but keep going, eventually you will teach yourself.

Worst metal band? I'd have to go with slipknot. I appreciate the power metal stuff which is BEYOND their level, which may be the reason why i have so much disrespect for their music. But Blind Guardian and Children of Bodom would kill slipknots ass any day. Just my opinion

There is that point but I have never had much time for some of the imagery that's associated with Metal. It is no wonder that it is not taken seriously in some quarters. Although Dee snyder seems quite articulate and has campaigned against censorship laws.
