Worst Genre

what do you "nobody cares abou the drummer", in most cases drummers are the backbone of a band, they provide the beat for guitarists to do their magic. without drums i think most rock songs would sound pretty feeble- with exception to the acoustic tunes of course.

Well, me, i like to think i like a bit of every genre.... i mean i dont really like rap but now again ill hear a song nd think, hmm maybe thats not so bad, like "ganstas paradise" and "Thugz mansion" still seem cool to me. Nelly and usher for R'n'B is occasionally appealing for me as well. What was the question again?........oh

P.S i love rock.

I personally like everything but country, the reason is simply that I hate the country singers voice. I also hate their lyrics. Someone show me a quality country song that means something, and maybe I'll think about changing my mind...

:drummer:

Thanks ArtistInTheArabulance.
Actually I dont think a whole genre itself is bad, but I think the people that are part of that genre can do it no credit so the whole scene gets labelled as rubbish as well as any other artist that has something to do with it.

i think galvanise is a pretty good song. if i were to say i genre i have no time for it would be RnB. i wish i could be all nice and say "oh i like certain lements of RnB"..but i really dont.

Who said no body cares about the drummer. My god could you imagine The Who without Kieth Moon?! Oh My God some of the magic would be gone.

Have you heard Keith Moons solo album?

It`s one of the worst albums ever recorded. And where did you get this idea that I hate drums in music from? I don`t care about chefs but it doesn`t mean I don`t like food. And as nobody has come up with one single example of a decent album written entirely by a drummer i`ll still hold my opinion that the drummer is the least important meraber in a band.

You just contradicted yourself. Your asking for a drummers solo album but becuase we cant think of one your saying he is the least importanat meraber of the band, that doesn't make sense. Thats like saying if Slash doesn't make a solo album he wasnt important to G 'n' R or Velvet Revolver, it doesn't make sense.

Hmm... Dance, pop dance and house can be really damn good, hip hop has its moments as well. I don't listen to jazz much at home, but I saw some amazing jazz shows in Prague, I really like seeing jazz banRAB live.

Happy hardcore - haha, listen to 'Children of the night' and 'Shooting star' and 'Raver baby' and no explanations are needed. Wow i can't believe i grew up on that crap.

Yeah I agree, Most of the banRAB out there wouldnt be anywhere near as good without a drummer.. But hey, its hard to win an argument against that guy. I still think that drummers are often the backbone of a band though, like LedZepStu said.

I think Primal Scream make better Chemical Brothers albums than the Chemical Brothers do these days.

70s Stevie Wonder , Sly & The Family Stone , Hendrix , Micheal Jacksons off the wall album , anything with George Clinton & Bootsy Collins.

Granted most of that stuff is over 20 years old , but there ya go
