I'd fogotten, or wiped from my memory, Velvet Goldmine, oh dear god, what the hell was that about? Fantastic cast, unmitigated mess of a film, it was only the fact that the tickets were only
some really bad sci-fi movie about aliens which you can easily tell are big masks and they acting is so bad its laughable. a man puns on some special sun glasses and through them sees that everyone is actually an alien.
i dont know if they took that film seriously when making it, but hey, give it ago some time. lol.
I don't remember it being at the cinema either.........................................*straight to video*.
Can anyone remember that Gwyneth Paltrow film that come out last year? I think she played an air hostess, it was pretty bad. I slept half way through so I really can't remember much about it.
The action scenes were good in Tears of the Sun, but the rest was crap. But the action scenes at the end were exaggerated, looks like the Americans HAD to win again.
Has anyone else seen this? No its not about the Queens dogs but about a pig who can talk. Its sort of a low budget and crappy version of babe. Its so corny because the bad guy in it in the end doesnt get punished or destroyed or anything, everyone just says something like "o we forgive you", and then he becomes frienRAB with that blasted pig! Grr, annoying film alert.
Missing was a very sad, moving film based on real life events. I always cry when I see it. It is not a dreadful film. It is a very good film. Jack Lemon was actually nominated for an oscar. And Sissy Spacek films are usually good.
It annoys me when people post a LIST of "the worst film ever"
They can't ALL be the worst, can they!
Also, people have very short memories and tend to list recent films that they didn't like as the worst ever, instead of actually using their brains and listing a genuine bad movie that they saw maybe years ago.
My worst ever film was called FULL FRONTAL with Julia Roberts starring that I saw at the cinema a couple of years ago.
I tend to see most releases (4 films+) every week, i.e. over 200 cinema films each year so tend to realise a real "turkey" when I see one.
Titanic was good, Catwoman was rubbish, but that doesn't make either the "best" or "worst" of all time.
erm Bulletproof Monk was absolutly dire and I am suprised that no one has mentioned it yet. The only film I have ever contemplated walking out of. Another contender could be the Rollerball remake, of no merit what so ever
what film were you watching, it can't of been Tears Of The Sun as it is fantastic!!!
And someone said The Day After Tomorrow was crap, i and many ppl agree its great, it is exacctly what is going to happen in the future but on a much bigger time scale.
While being highly amusing in some ways this thread is just fatuous. Films that some people hate with a vengance are just as passionately loved by others. And who decides whats good or bad. Everybody thinks their own taste is good (when is the last time you met someone who said "I have really, really bad taste).
A lot of films people have mentioned as being truly awful, I really liked or are some of my all time favourite films. For example I luv, luv luv Barberella, The Others and Dirty Dancy. Titanic is entertaining enough (I like films about romance), and Jeepers Creepers very scary, while I might not understand some of the actions of the characters and the way the plot developed, it is by no means the worst film of all time.
Now for my list of bad, bad films:
American Sweethearts ( I have atempted to watch this film 3 times and can never get past the 1st 30 mins)
Not another teen movie
Jean Claude Van dam films ( But I really enjoy Arnie and Stallone movies )
eXistenZ
Notting Hill
