Worst Film You've Ever Sat through....

Idiocracy with Luke Wilson.

It is truly awful.

I actually felt sorry for him and can only imagine that he must either a) be in some serious financial trouble that he so badly needed the money or b) pissed off some movie head who decided as a punishment to end his career by putting him in this dreadfull film.

It really is bad.

Yes, it was advertised like it was a comedy, wasn't it? The trailer was very quirky and had the "Lick my stocking" line and Bill Murray falling off the treadmill etc. They were really unfunny moments in the film anyway, but the way they were presented was as if it would be something totally different.

I had no compassion for the characters at all and thought some of the portrayals of Tokyo were actually borderline racist. I've heard of people talking about how deep and moving the film is, when it's just pretentious rubbish in my opinion.

I'm with you that one, especially its awful message: If you want to get the man of your dreams you have to turn yourself into a slut. Plus a bunch of 30-somethings pretending to be high school students - oh puhleeeze!

Others on my list would be:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - why on earth didn't the little scrote get his come-uppance??

Ditto The Talented Mr Ripley, a load of pretentious artsy-fartsy tosh - I lost the will to live after the first 30 minutes but you know how it is, you stay till the end hoping it will get better, and guess what it didn't!

Finally, every long overblown "epic" my parents forced me to sit through as a child, e.g. "Khartoum", "The Warlord" and that ilk (showing my age....) why on earth did they think a little girl would be interested in that cr*p??

Ok....rant over....:o

Cinderella III disney sequels are mostly dire, and I watched it just because I was curious.

Also tried to watch Lord of the Rings 3 times, fell asleep everytime.

I see you're employing the classic internet "I could beat you up in real life gambit" there. This exchange should be a forum classic. I think we're in for a real meeting of minRAB.
