Worst film of 2004

I understand what you mean ... but the acting was superb and the story unique (although there was no need to re-arrange the story sequence)

Amorres Perros was a much better effort by Alejandro Inarritu.

Open Water, Catwoman and the Day After Tomorrow..... come nowhere close to the completely appalling House of the Dead - incidentally coming in at No. 29 on the Top 100 Bad Movies on IMDB!!

I've never walked out of a film in my whole life but I came close to doing so when I watched that big pile of twaddle.

(and tell me how they would dare dub Open Water as Jaws meets Blair Witch and House of the Dead as The Matrix meets Evil Dead - or something similar)

Churchill the hollywood years! Im quite embarressed i went to see this, thought it was going to be a good satire movie.

I quite liked Alien vs Predator, i went because im a fan of the alien and predator films and i thought thats what the movie catered for.

Amores Perros was infinitely better.

I don't think the acting was that good, to be honest. People are too easily pleased with acting these days. The scene where Naomi Watts is told her husband and kiRAB have died and she breaks down has been described by some people as the best bit of method acting theyve ever seen..well, she's just found out her nearest and dearest are dead, what else was she expected to do? Break into song? I thought the whole film was just about pressing emotional buttons for the sake of it, there was nothing else behind it.

I would also like to submit Battle Royale 2 in the 'Worst film of 2004' category.

'Lost In Translation' (or maybe that should be 'Lost on Me') was another smug, pretentious waste of time. Everyone in the audience was attempting 'knowing' laughs at particular moments to try to prove their arthouse cool.

Bill Murray is one-dimensional, Tokyo is sterile and unappealing, and dear Scarlett looks like she pops nothing but Mogadon.

More Ribissi might have helped.

God, I'm glad someone else thought so. It got such rave reviews i started to think i had bad taste or there was some deep underlying message in it that i just wasnt getting. The script was so lame it was painful to sit through, my boyfriend still hasnt forgiven me for taking him to it saying it was supposed to be the film of the year.
