Hello, my 2 cents worth here - I did see LOTR at the cinema with my little bruv and my hubby, both of whom have very different tastes in film to each other and myself. We all got up at the end and were gobsmacked at the evil we had just witnessed. It insulted my eyes. And brain. And i must cast it into the pit, forever.
