Worst Bond Moment ?

the bit at the end of For Your Eyes Only where a couple of actors pretend to be Margaret Thatcher and her husband Dennis , whose stupid idea was that ?

Is there a moment in any James Bond film which makes you cringe when you see it ?
I can't remember the film, but a tiger was about to attack Bond (Roger Moore).
Bond held up a finger and said to the tiger "SITTTT" like Barbara Woodhouse.
I hate that scene !

The car jump in The Man With The Golden Gun - spectacular stunt spoilt by a stupid sound effect. I had a horrible feeling at the time that was the start of the BonRAB becoming silly action comedies and I was right.

Never actually been able to sit through a whole one, so worst bits for me:-
All the sexist, mysoginistic clap-trap, so quite a few scene to choose from, one would imagine. ;);)

Hang on a sec, this bit is even worse.

James Bond baking a quiche in View to a Kill.

Can you imagine Dalton or Craig baking a sodding quiche?

Bond surfing on Arctic water whilst glaciers collapses in Die Another Day.

Oh and the invisible car.

Oh and the virtual reality training room.

Madonna's theme music.

No wonder Brosnan packed it in after that. It was a terrible film.

The most cringe worthy scene for me is in Moonraker. When Bond emerges from a canal in a specially made boat which looks like a canal boat on top of a double bed. Terrible scene.

Then Die another day came along and that was just one big embarrassment. The James Bond films died for me with World is not enough and Die another day.

The last good one was Tomorrow Never Dies.

Probably the moment i realised that i'd need to watch Quantum of Solace at least 5 times just to see any shot i'd missed due to the absolutely atrocious cut cut cut editing.

Another would be when i realised the Casino scenes in CR really weren't coming to an end any time soon.

Strangely enough, i can accept the concept of Moonraker quite easily - but Die Another Day left me cold, and is one of the few Bond films i will never ever watch again. Stupid story, stupid CGI.

But hey, no franchise is perfect ;)

Truth is stranger than fiction.

DARPA and more than likely Qinetiq are working on something similar. What Cleese said in that scene is pretty much how it works. Trouble is, there will be some distortion, a bit like Predator's camouflage rather than out and out invisibility.

There was a worse scene in the same film. When they're racing along the street in the taxis the Indian bloke who is driving fights off some goons with a tennis racket. Cut to the 'funny' crowd scene of the bystanders quickly looking left and right and gasping as if watching a tennis match.

For me it is in Die Another Day (if we exclude Madonna some awful noise over the titles). The scene when Bond uses the roof of the rocket car as a surf board and the parachute. It is clearly a composite and very poorly done

I wholeheartely agree about that car stunt sequence in Golden Gun, but in You Only Live Twice what was that business about making Bond "look Japanese" by plastering his face with make up and plucking his eyebrows or whatever all about?
