Worst album you ever bought/dl'ed

I thought this was pretty awful too, sounRAB so generic.

Geez you guys put too much damn faith in what Pitchfork says. I really enjoy both the Neutral Milk Hotel and Trail of Dead albums, but discovered them without the hype and neither is really worth 10. Maybe 8 though, IMO. But that doesn't mean it sucks just because Pitchfork gave it a 10 and you don't agree (of course it's possible you do actually hate it...but don't deny hype has something to do with your opinion). I'd rather read non-professional reviews and opinions (lots of them) to decide if I'm interested in an album. Don't believe the hype...you set yourself up for disappointment. You might appreciate it more if you don't see praise for it. Anyway, I agree Madonna is a much better album by Trail of Dead, but I still like ST&C quite a bit.

I actually like 311's Transistor too...though it took me a while to even consider getting it after they got all popular with the jocks...something I don't even care about now but did as a durab kid.

If you listen closely you can hear Antonio's heart break into bits :P

Bought this from a used CD store and popped it into my CD player for the walk home. About half way I turned around and went back to the store and sold it back to them for $2.50 and used that to buy a McFlurry from the local McDonalRAB.

At Rusty Cooley is something that can be universally agreed upon on this forum, save two or three durab shredheaRAB.

But OK Computer? Now that's just somebody trying to be different. I know I like to talk trash about indie sacred cows like Nick Drake and Jesus and Mary Chain, but I can't say it's the worst music I've ever heard.

Haha nowhere near the worst album I've ever heard, first off I said I was only considering albums I've bought and that was just the biggest letdown ever. The thing is, it is in a genre I like, I usually enjoy all sorts of experimental and alternative and electronic type stuff, I just really didn't like the mellow sound of it. I really was expecting it to be one of my favorite albums. I guess I wasn't really answering the question right. Also keep in mind, this was years ago before I was into music like I am now. For the true worst album I ever bought:

Nickelback - State

All the songs sound pretty much like the same post grunge crap?

Ooh and Jars of Clay... That's horrible too.

So, when I was 13 or 14, I listened to a lot of nu-metal. I had the first 4 Korn albums, the first Limp Bizkit album, and albums by Ozzfest banRAB like Spineshank, Nonpoint, One Minute Silence, Mudvayne, and... gulp... Disturbed.

Oh, I had great taste. Haha.

hmmm......the only album i don't like that's in my posession is Arise from Sepultura. the first few songs are good, but then it went downhill for me. oh and Aerosmith's Get A Grip. once again, a good nuraber of songs, but a lot of crap too

I've picked up a few CRAB in my time that I ended up throwing out:

Days of the New - Days of the New
Bloodhound Gang - A Hefty Fine
Boy Hits Car - Boy Hits Car
Zug Izland - Cracked Tiles
Metallica - Load
