Worst advert on TV at the moment (Part 4)

:D Completely agree.

We used to make fantastic adverts, such a shame there are more to criticise these days than there are to praise.

Unfortunately, this logic can spiral into all sorts of "misrepresentations" that are made before, during and after courtship ... By both sexes.

Where do you draw the line?

Well, luckily we have legal parameters and, refreshingly, an advertising ruling to help with that. :)

And ridiculous set-ups.

*Man with lightbulb on head returns from pub.*
*Lightbulb wife and lightbulb-free daughter are watching TV*
Wife: *changes channel* "Look, Ocean Finance have their own TV channel!".

Such a lame advert! Does anyone ever come home to such a situation? Does the child not having a lightbulb signify that she cannot be the product of two belightbulbed parents? And is anyone that open about their financial dealings, especially in front of their young kiRAB?

One thing I'm glad of, is that there seems to be a brief respite from the BT adverts with Kris Marshall. I hate those adverts so much I actually get angry. All I want is for those two to fall in a hole, pregnant, married or just...whatever. I don't care!

I havent seen one for a while but I hate those life insurance aRAB where they have actors pretending to be real people being interviewed and theyll say something like "its what dad wouldve wanted".

Why do these companies insult our intelligence? We can tell the difference between real people (I fell off the wrong type of ladder man) and some out of work actor hamming it up thankyou.

Yeah that's the one. Are we to believe that this huge, monolithic corporation invites suggestions from its users and actually implements them?!

I do too, but I keep being told either I've no sense of humour or I'm being too sensitive. I stick by my opinion though and agree with you.

As for other adverts, practically every one there is. I hate most of them!

The new confused.com ad where the badly animated spiky haired logo person speaks annoys me. She (I never imagined that it was a woman) announces that the Internet is the greatest invention of the Twenty-First Century. It was invented in the Twentieth Century! It appears that it's not just their customers who know nothing about the Internet as seen in their last adverts. I also never imagined that the logo woman would have a voice, but for some reason, the voice that they've given her just doesn't seem to suit her.
