Worst actor to have ever appeared on TV?

Kate Bush has dabbled in acting with less than impressive results. She winked and nodded her way through The Comic Strip Presents as some bride character and then made a film with Natasha Richardson which was a disaster. Better to stick to singing then.

Patsy Kensit inflicts damage on every programme she appears on.

I have no idea how this (albeit attractive.. oops may have answered my own query) human lumberjack yard gets so much work on primetime tv shows.

Ooh.. me too Bg... i was so sad when it was shelved!.. but had a nice surprise when me and my family were at Luton airport going to Spain at about that time!.. we bumped into the spanish bloke that played the Doctor in the series and he even sat and had a coffee with us and was saying how disappointed all the cast were that the show had been dropped.....

Yes I'm been very impressed with her character - she is the main reason I would watch if its on and I'm not much of a Doctor Who fan these days.

The most high profile/worst TV actor is Leslie Grantham. For film , Any one mentioned Keanu Reeves?

But I'll have no ill said of the Thesbian Collosus that is the one called Shatner.

Whereas you are a genius for ignoring the word "if"?

I note that you aren't stating any view of your own, either.

Which reminded me of two candidates - Julie Graham and Ruta Gedmintas. AFAIK Julie has the edge, having destroyed two TV series single handedlly (bonekickers and survivors)

Anyone quoting soaps, look, no one is acting in a soap, so it doesn't matter. Really.

About 15 years ago the beeb did a major primetime adaptation of Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit, starring Ben Walden.

His acting was so bad I used to wear out the video recorder going back over his scenes in disbelief that, blimey, he really did deliver the line like that.

Johnnie Clayton who played Reg Cox in the opening episode of EastEnders - never spoke, never moved but then the character was dead:eek:

I try not to blame the actor/actress without blaming the script firstly. Also the director will direct to their own preferences so the actor is just following orders.

Having said that Barbara Windsor is fairly limited considering she has decades of experience in film and television.
