Worried about the future of TV Animation

There's also Qubo, which has a around a dozen cartoons. They're all pre-k to preteen, but it's a 24 (mostly) cartoon digital channel.

I agree that the animation industries across the United States are continuing to do their thing as if nothing happened. In the meantime I'm going to add more cartoon premieres and a cartoon renewal based on my knowledge. The premiere schedules may change, but surprises do happen.

Nick
The Fairly Oddparents (currently in production for its 7th season)
T.U.F.F. Puppy (now in production for 2010 debut)

Warner Bros.
Scooby-Doo - Mystery Inc. (debuting on Cartoon Network sometime this fall)

MGM
Pink Panther and Pals (debuting on Cartoon Network in Winter 2009/2010)

Marvel
Marvel Super Hero Squad (coming to Cartoon Network this fall)

I do indeed hope that the overall list continues to grow.

Another possibility is that eventually some animation fans down the line might have a high position in the media enough to incorporate more cartoons on air.

Well CN hasn't renewed their contract with TAG. Nick already has, but I think Cartoon Network won't be Cartoon Network come next year. It will get rebranded with a different name because the execs behind the channel are apparently not noticing that CN Real Bombed. Instead they're saying we're doing this now and you should just get over it. I'm honestly trying to get Cartoon Network replaced with Nickelodeon, because it won't survive for another year or so at this rate. I think Animation has taken quite a hit. I think they're also held to a higher standard too. (I mean Japanese Animation distinctly looks better than most western animation.) The modern cartoons just aren't as good. The networks need another BIG hit like Avatar to really invigorate their network.

I believe that the whole Cartoon Network changing their name thing is only a rumor. There aren't any official sources, to my knowledge at least, from Cartoon Network giving any indication of a change like that.

I also wouldn't really be worried about the fate of animation cartoons on TV. As D Dubbs' list clearly demonstrates, there are plenty of shows, both new and returning, to many different channels in the fall. I honestly don't see a need to worry about cartoons on TV right now.

Few is better than none at all. Also, I don't know if I'd call Scooby-Doo: Mysteries, Inc., Adventure Time, Generator Rex, SymBiotic Titan, Hot Wheels, Pink Panther & Pals, The Garfield Show, Marvel Super Hero Squad, L.O.S.E., Batman: The Brave & the Bold, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Stoked, 6Teen, Ben 10: Evolutions and Total Drama to be "very few".
