I have been to the doctors very recently as I have painful testicles, the doctor examined me and said there were no lumps. He done some blood and urine tests and it turns out I have a urinary infection although he said I had also been tested for testicular cancer. He said that my blood test showed a reading of 5.9 (something) I cannot remember what the 5.9 was relating to but he thought it was borderline for something to be worried about. I have been asked to go for and echo, take my antibiotics for 15 days and then go and get the blood test again for the tumour markers to see if it has dropped. Does anyone know what the 5.9 is referring to? I know there a 3 main tests for this but dont know which one he was referring to.
Can someone tell me what they think the 5.9 is referred to and guide me to something on the web that shows me what the safe levels are. Does anyone know if these tumours can be raised or reduced due to urinary infections.
Any advice would be appreciated as I am very worried and completely in the dark on this subject.
Oh yeah I am 31 years old.
Thanks
