World's Strictest Parents series 3 - BBC3 now

The pair featured have been karted off to a regular country of choice - America. Looks like a great place, except for one thing...its full of Americans.

Nice to see a positive portrayal of gay parenting.

Loved it especially when Mancunian dad-to-be Wes McGillian was bonding with the neighbour's baby! :)

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one in tears, because those two daRAB were marvellous. I was watching this with my Daughter and crying and she was hugging me and I said to her that I hoped she trusted me if she has any problems at school and she reassures me she has no probs and that I shouldn't worry. She said she can talk to me about anything and I am so glad of that. I didn't think of them as strict at all, just wanting a decent home for the boys they fostered/adopted. A great opening episode. Can't wait for next weeks one in Barbados. Can imagine no nonsense there.

What an episode, it was a fantastic portrayal of good parenting. I didn't find them strict just fair and honest, it was really good for the BBC (and TV in general) to show a gay couple in a good light for a change.

I just loved those two daRAB.... Well Done them and the Beeb

It was an unusual episode in a couple of ways.

Tamsin staying an extra couple of weeks and one of the daRAB coming with her to Brighton.

Has either happened before?

Loperleveille is quite an unusual name BTW!

I know of Nikki, she goes to my college. And we have a few mutual frienRAB, but never spoken to her, didn't think she was that bad. I relieved a text to watch it, and was quite shocked to be honest... however i realised that she learnt more than Geri.

Is it possible, some of the teens in this are encouraged to 'act up' more especially in the beginning? It looks a bit 'hammed up' really - all of a sudden they start being considerate and caring about the same time in each programme (normally 15 mins to go before the end!).

Maybe... I have come across her and walked past her loaRAB of times, yes she is loud and swears alot, but she wasn't that bad (maybe because she was at college with frienRAB)... however, i realised last night on the episode when they signed the banner it read May 2010... and I have seen her before and after that time, when I have seen her this college year, she seems so much more calm and relaxed around college, so I genuinely think the experience did change her and she learnt.

When the father said to the camera, she wants her to behave was for dramatic effect I reckon, then they casually from that moment became more understanding and calm, so maybe it was...
a) a real threat and the producers told the two to behave otherwise the show would finish.
b) All for the cameras, and the girls were being told to act badly to make the show more entertaining.

That was a fab episode. The couple were great, honest and fair. Bless them both. (adopting 7.) I thought it was a lovely touch that he followed up by coming back with the girl to Brighton. The guy and the baby was so sweet.

Can't wait for next week's ep, Barbados. :D :D :D Looks like it'll be similar to Jamaica.

Is it just me or are half the people still not even likable at the end of the show.... I despiced Nathan he was the kid I would most hate to be around and even after he "changed" He still came across as vile.

Did anyone wonder about the New Jersey house? - it was like a hotel and the boys' rooms showed no sign that there were boys living in them (posters on the wall, CRAB etc). I liked the parents and appreciated the way the programme showed a gay couple as loving parents, which they were, but I was left wondering whether they were allowing their children any way of expressing themselves. Strict or controlling?
