World War III in the near future?

Will there be a World War III in the near future? I've been reading some prophecies and this one is very interesting..

Sister Elena Aiello Italy, (1959 - 1961)

"...another terrible war will come from the East to the West. Russia with her secret weapons will battle America, will overrun Europe. The river Rhine will be overflowing with corpses and blood. Italy will also be harassed by a great revolution, and the Pope will suffer terribly."

I think Russia is planning on attacking with secret nuclear missiles and etc. in the future. I think we are looking at a War sometime. What does everyone else think?
 
The chance looked high, with Bush in office, that we would get a major war with Iran, which could get much of the world involved. But with Obama in the risk has gone down dramatically, at least for now. As a matter of fact, I just read that President Medvedev of Russia has proposed a major arms reduction with deep nuclear cuts.

War has always been a part of the human experience, and we are not rid of it yet.
 
Western Europe will be overrun by Muslims in a few decades even without a civil war. And yes, then they will have Western Europe's nukes. Well done, you idiotic multicultural Utopian Fantasy nut Western Europeans.
 
There won't be wars like in the world wars of the early 20th century. We now fight secret wars against terrorists who seemingly have no nationality and are in that way the perfect enemy to keep a public in fear.
Now that we have such powerful weapons of mass destruction, countries no longer attack each other directly. Unless of course the country is too small and weak to defend itself like Iraq
The worst war I can see happening in the nearby future is against North Korea... because their leader is nuts and could easily be a threat.
 
People have "predictions" all the time. This one has no more truth than the others, and unless you have some other reason to believe it is going to happen I recommend you stop worrying and do something fun.
 
the USSR is pretty smart when it comes to nukes, they know if they use them ...we'll use them...(read up on the cold war)...
 
That "prophecy" was written during the Cold War, when there was much larger tension between the United States and Russia. At the time a World War between Russia and the United States sounded much more likely than it does now. No, I don't think Russia is planning on attacking with any secret nuclear missiles in the future.
