Okay so when The U.S met the the Russians at Berlin... We let the Russians finish off the germans because of something that happened in the previous war...And i forgot what it was im not sure if it was because they took land from Russia or what???

I looked in my book and on the web...
No luck

NO RUDE COMMENTS...
If it doenst help me in anyway dont bother leaving and uneducated answer.

thanks

It was mostly a symbolic move. At one point, 90% of the German Army was in Russia, and the Russians defeated them. Allowing Russia (Stalin, mainly) to finish off the Germans was a gift for their efforts. Besides, the Western Allies faced significantly less resistance in clearing out southern Germany, resulting in less casualties, which would be favourable to anyone.
