World War 1 Question? Help?

Based on the state of the arms race in 1914, if you were a German citizen, how would you feel? Explain why.

d. Based on the state of the arms race in 1914, if you were a British citizen, how would you feel? Explain why.
 
That is a very difficult question to answer, mainly in the fact that in order to give an accurate or somewhat correct answer, we would have to be there and experience it. Just like other questions. Such as, How do I feel about raising to taxes more of millionaires? Sure I would love it now, but that's because im not one. So in order to give the correct answer, I would have to be on the other end of the stick so to speak.

So as much as I would love to answer this question as you want. I can only tell you this, I don't really know.
 
In both situations, i'd feel a bit out of myself, only because... I am Intelligent and would know many things in many situations...
 
I don't think any german citizen looked at the arms race in 1914, their leader had them beleiving that all thier troops were invincible, and their technology was leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the world. There was no question wether or not Germany would win the war, victory was guaranteed.

A british citizenen? Hmm more complicated
