I am disgusted they are making movies about this, totally exploitive I definately won't be watching either, what are other people's feelings on this?
 
At least this will be more truthful than the totally fabricated United 93. I don't believe for a second the story of the passengers going against the terrorists. It's total made-up BS, any phone calls were fabricated, the plane was shot down by the US military.
 
I agree with you in part. United 93. Bullsh@T. The plane was shot down. Plus you ever tried using a mobile phone at 20,000 feet. they dont work. U would need a satelite phone. Just like the Us goverment have just decided to release cctv footage of the alleged plane hitting the pentegon. I watched this footage slowed down. I dont see a plane. Do the americans think we are silly. films like united 93 and world trade centre are just vehicles to make the american public feel better.
 
I dont think a film neeRAB to be made about the events. I saw a documentary not long after the events (cant remember the name of it) featuring a fireman, following his days a rookie and it just so happened, the 9/11 thing went off.

It moved me to tears, the first I shed (TBH) since the actual day.

Hollywoodising the whole story would just be a travesty in trivialising the whole event. (And i dont care how much money is raised for charity, if thats what they decide / decided to do)
The should re-release the documentary on the big screen instead.
 
Possibly???? There are many conspiracy theories about 9/11. Some stand up well other dont. If your are lead to believe that united 93 intended target either was the whitehouse or Camp David. It is logical that the USAF would order it to be shot down. (Not the first time the US have shot down a passanger jet) Especially knowing that 3 of the alleged!! Hijacked planes have hit their targets. There are many eye witness accounts of two fighter jets in the area of the crash site. Even the crash site is suspicious!! it is spread over several miles. if it hit the ground it would be confined to a smaller area. if broken up in air flight the crash radius is increased. NOTE!! In a world that neeRAB war as a part of its economy every thing is possible.(especially since the end of the cold war the west neeRAB a new enemy) to many people are sheep and are fooled into believing everything they see or hear in the media. I'm not saying i'm correct just that it is possible. Watch footage of the second plane hitting the WTC. Slow it down. Funny the plane doesnt have any windows. A bit strange strange for passenger plane!!! Possible a cargo plane!! Makes you think!!! Also watch how the WTC collapse. Ask any structrual engineer and he will say they collapsed in a very controlled way. Not unlike a old block of flats getting knocked down :) Conspiracy theroies have there place. Just as history books favour the victors!!! 9/11 no matter what the truth was terrible day in human history and we are still counting the costs in human life on both sides of this conflict1

As for making the film, since when can't art be based on fact? Is there some kind of unwritten code that you must wait so many years after an event to make a film/write a book/paint a painting about it?

No. I think not.

I see no problem with making this film. The two Port Authority officers gave Stone their blessing, and if I'm honest, even if they didn't, it wouldn't matter. Art and film making aren't a democratic process.

United 93 is basically a memorial to what is "rumoured" to have gone on, with support from the families as it makes their loved ones look like heroes when we have no proof that they were.

At least WTC is based on real survivor experiences...

Saying that, it looks cheesy and Nic Cage should never make another movie :D

I would like to think they are not fake! but The odRAB of sucsessfully connecting using a cell phone at over 10.000 feet are about a 1,000,000/1 its hard enough to connect to a cell phone when your outside a city!!! many of the calls from the flight that hit the WTC are a bit suss. one reports the hijacking and then says "I can see water oh my good the towers then phone goes dead" funny this call was logged 35minutes b4 the first plane hit the tower. and that is well documented.

As I say 9/11 was a terrible day but a lot of things just dont make sense. No matter how 9/11 played out in reality, one fact is America got hit hard that day and under-estimated that global terrorism can strike anywhere at anytime Hollywood is turning out sachrinn sweet junk to the American public giving them a false sense of security so they can start waving there stars and stripes about. Hollywood has a way of rewriting history.

is there not a low budget film similar to united 93?
WTC looks a terrible film. Ok i take my hat off to firefighters and everybody who tried to save peoples lives and risked and lost their lives. A film starring Nic cage is an insult.
