World Trade Center

It wasn't the fact he helped find them i found cringeworthy, i know that was true and i respect what he did. It was some of the lines he came out with were just a little over the top.
 
Ahh, I get you, I think Karnes himself said that the filmmakers took certain liberties with his character. He didn't have any part with the film and his character was comprised of witness statements.
 
Despite the horrific subject matter, I found WTC quite boring. And when things started to become a tad more interesting, it ended. United 93 is far the better film.
 
United 93 is such a powerful, moving film, it was very well done but I found it really distressing to watch. World Trade Center was ok but I just thought it lacked something.

Oliver Stone selling out in a disgusting and abhorent way.... capitalising on people's emotions with the 9/11 content. To be honest, I don't think a film should've been made so soon after. And WTC has ensured that another will not be made in quite a while, and that's the way it should be.

Why must the human race always insist on making tragedies into film?? I thought United 93 was terrible too... I cringed watching it's good vs. evil (christianity vs. islam) subtext... eugh.
 
Sorry to bump this thread. But i rescently watched 'world trade center' and thought it was good. However, i have heard lots of good stuff about 'united 93', so i ordered it cheaply and am going to watch it. I like true based stuff, even though this was a real sad and tragic, it is powering and endearing to watch..

EDIT: This may sound a dumb question, but who actually caused the 911 attacks.. :confused::o
 
I'm going to watch both again. Is 'United 93' more about the individuals working in the center rather than a film about the aftermath etc. (i.e. does it differ from WTC).
