Workouts for aspiring kickers?

So i eat, sleep and dream football i was quite the acomplished free saftey my entire JV and varsity football career despite my being 5'8 160lbs because i was fast and can hit hard but i sustained a bad neck injury during practice after ducking my head down and making a full speed tackle in special teams practice and if you know football you know you just cant do that. i went to rehab and i cant play on the feild anymore because my neck is weak and could snap in half if i make another bad tackle so i really wanted to play in college and probably wouldnt get a chance to play D1 because of my size anyway so now im aspiring to be a kicker. having no experience whatsoever is it a reachable goal to work at it for the next 2 1/2 years (im a sr in highschool and am going to community college for the next 2 years before transfering to the small D1 school East Carolina University) and kick for ECU on saturdays? if so what workouts should i do and other helpful tips?
