I have recently put on a lot of weight esp. in the gut area and I'm trying to lose it. But I'm not a big gym guy and I never was even when I was very fit. So I recently decided to work out at home exclusively but a lot of my friends say its just empty work and I wont see any results. I'm not trying to build muscle so I don't see the need to go to a gym when all I plan on doing is mainly cardio like walking and some ab workouts. So is there a significant advantage to working out in a gym as compared to working out at home if all I plan to do is cardio and ad workouts ?
