A rectangular skating rink measuring 20m by 20m is to be doubled in area by adding a strip at one end and a strip of the same width along one side. Find the width of the strips.
if you don't understand that one, then at least tell me how to do this one, and i can figure the first one out myself.
2. A playground, which measures 60, by 40m, is to be doubled in area by extending each dimension by an EQUAL amount. By how much should each dimension be increased.
thanks for the help
