Wood TW6-6 TW-555 Cam Dyno Test by Fuel Moto

Since people are asking questions, I'll ask too. I have a 2002 softail, D&D fatcat, PCIII, full stage 1, and s/e 203 cams. If adding a Rev Perf 98" kit, getting the heads ported and polished, what Woods Cam do you recommend? HP is irrelevant to me. I want low end grunt all the way.

thanks!

With a 98" Revolution build @ 10.5:1 compression and with headwork assuming the valve springs will support .590 lift the Wood TW6H would be a great choice for big torque with excellent all around performance.

Another technical question:
On the FM page for the TW6-6 cam install w/pics there is a statement,

"Replace inner cam bearings (if required) and install the cam plate" . . .

The question is, if no damage to bearings is detected and milage is 6K on a 2010 103" factory engine , When is bearing replacement required???

Not reqired but a good idea to upgrade to the timkin roller bearing witch is superior to HD's inner cam bearing. If it came with a timken bearing I would say if there are no signs of wear then leave it but the timken is a better bearing and like 18 bucks for the pair. It's your scoot and your call. Good luck!

Yes I can not wait to get started on my bike. Its nice to see testing like this when your saving your hard earned money for bike projects you want to feel as confident as possible where and who you put your money.

I dont know if anyone asked so I guess I'll bite......What this gonna cost me? I want to know how much to start saving for...

555 cams (if I install them)
complete 107 kit (installed)

I already have the PCV-AT up and running.

Ballpark numbers are OK.
