i got the key from autozone to flash my check engine codes for me, but one day i accidently left the key in, and forgot about it. Later i went to start the car and at first it wouldnt start (i was having battery problems at the time, i dunno if it made a difference leaving that key in or not in making it start, but i thought the battery was dead again) so i had a friend help me jump the car, and it started...i went back in the car and realized the key was still in there. I took it out, but ever since then, the check engine light has been on and wont turn off, and it wont flash codes for me when i try to use that key anymore, it just stays on constant so i have no way to tell if it even has any code to flash...i already tried unhooking my battery cables to reset the computer, what can i do to fix it? if it helps any its an 83 z28 camaro, 305 v8 automatic. thanks
