Wont believe what I tell him

Could anyone please help me. My husband is suffering from anxiety. He worries about everything. The trouble is when I tell him he has no reason to worry he just wont believe me. At the moment his latest worry is about money. He says we are in deep trouble, we cant pay our bills etc. None of it is true, we are very comfortably off, with no money worries at all. He has retired and I think it has come about by him not being able to earn any more. he is 75, so he has earned his retirement. Has anyone else come across this not being able to believe anyone. Ive told him until im blue in the face, but he just looks at me blankly and starts all over again. Im at my wits end, and so tired and frustrated, can anyone please help.

Anexity over money is not uncommon in retired people .
