Wondering if the Palm Pixi is a good phone for me?

I know it laggs on apps and web, but I don't use web. I've switched from a rumor (it messed up), Rant (accidental water damage) and more recently to a razr v3m (piece of crap). I only call, text, and occasionally take pictures. I don't use web or apps. I want a touch screen. And a reasonable battery life. Is the palm pixi a good phone for me?
