I couldn't find this in the penal code book, hoping someone can help me out. Last year, my girlfriend told me that she had been raped. I don't know the details, but she was forced against her will and was too terrified to fight back. It happened two or three years ago I think, and she was a minor at the time. It just pisses me off that she still lives in fear and occasionally has nightmares, but we can't really do anything about it.
I know who the guy is and would love to beat the crap out of him, but as much as he deserves it, it doesn't solve anything and will just get me in trouble. My question is, how long after the crime was committed can it be reported and still be charged? Is there anything the police can do or did it happen too long ago? Thanks for the help in advance!!
