January 2001 Silver Pictures approached Todd Alcott to write a Wonder Woman script. He was replaced in August 2003 with Laeta Kalogridis. Later in March 2005 Joss Whedon was hired to not only write but also direct the film, but in February 2007 he left due to creative differences.

Rachel would be a good choice... But I can see why she wouldn't be interested at this point in time.

She is slowly and smartly building her career on serious roles that have a lot of diversity and if she jumped into Wonder Woman, that would have the potential to ruin her steady rise and especially, if the movie bombed to where she'd probably be seen as just another flash-in-the-pan which is clearly why she is doing things slowly, but surely.
 
yea she should be considered be4 Mischa, I stand by that.

Anywayz, I haven't heard much new info on this, but I plan on looking around and digging some more! :)
 
i have no interest now that Joss is left. I was so mad when i read those articles..now only way i will see it is if the actress they pick is someone i like
 
Hey welcome. I see we agree a lot lol. Yea I'm with ya. If they go with someone younger Eliza or Charisma. If someone older, or should i say more mature, because LG isn't old AT ALL LOL, then yea Lauren Graham would be great too. And we agree about Katie and Jessica Alba. awesome. :)

i showed some boys the pic of Jessica Biel int he WW outfit...omg I think i actually saw drool lol :lol: .

Wanderer78, u like good choices as well hehe. And don't worry, we won't shoot you for not thinking Rachel Bilson could play the part. You are entitled to your own opinion, I'm glad everyone is discussing this. I like that everyone is expressing their opinions. :D

I just saw the movie The Pacifier tonight, and Lauren Graham literally was kicking butt in that movie. After seeing her get tough, I could see her playing the part more now. She was really good.
 
I just found out that Joss Whedon is no longer working on the project. I was informed by my brother who found the article online somewhere, so I'll try to get a hold of the link.

As far as Sophia Bush I heard she was being considered, but that's it. It doesn't look like anyone is definite right now since Joss has left the project and I think its still all very up in the air. Hopefully we'll get some more news soon, it seems like we've been waiting forever for the tiniest shred of news.
 
I can't stand Jessica Alba and Mischa Barton!

I do find Alba very attractive but I think she's a very weak actress and was barely tolerable as Nancy in Sin City. Don't get me started on the 1000 reasons I dislike Barton, please.

While Biel is definitely NOT an exceptional actress, she still ranks a few steps above these two in my book. But anyway, I wouldn't want her for the role either as she is way too young.

I wouldn't want anyone born after 1973 to play the role. We're talking about Wonder Woman here, not Supergirl.

Has anyone heard any news on this? So much time has passed, and I still haven't heard anything about casting WW. I thought we'd know by now.
 
The only choice I've liked is Charisma Carpenter, but I've heard over and over again, they want an actress in her early 20's. Catherine Zeta Jones or Lauren Ghram could do it, but again, the *age* issue.

Rachel Bilson is way too petite for the role. Wonder Woman is over 6 ft tall. And go ahead and shoot me but I don't think she has the range to pull it off.
 
I heard Joss Whedon was actually interested in having Rachel McAdams play the part, but she apparently wasn't too interested.

oh man.. Mischa Barton.. nothing against her.. i've seen a few episodes of the OC, i really can't picture her as WW..

but if they go with an unknown, i'd be okay with that too.. as long as they are true to the character..
 
agree with ya on that.

if there's one person that i see fit to play Wonder Woman....it be Angelina Jolie. she's got the look of wonder woman...but she has a dangerous side and plus...she's been action for awhile. :D
 
Yea Lauren Graham is definately the best choice, I'm not just saying that cause I'm a big fan of her's either, she is just a really good choice.

She looks just like the old wonderwomen, she also looks liket he cartoon character plus she is like such an amazing actress and could totally do the part. Alot of people are saying that she probably won't get picked cause of her age which is totally stupid because she really isn't that old, her age wouldn't affect her part as wonder women at all, she only looks about 30 and is in great shape for the part so I don't think age would affect the choice of her being picked. I really don't see why she wouldn't get picked! She's winning in the polls from what I saw but that was a while ago.
 
i know, i was so dissapointed after hearing about CW, that i decided not to go see it! and i really want to see WW, so please pick someone with experience!! and someone cute too pleas,e cause looks never hurt!

haha, and don't worry about the shippers, i had "devoted to a lot of stuff" in my sig, cause i ran out of space!! so i know how you feel!
