Women who like to dress as cartoon characters (Warning: not for the very young)

I wasn't just you. That part squicked me out, too.

Yeah. The fact that she even wants to change her name to "Jessica" to be more like Jessica Rabbit is WAY creepy! She needs to get some therapy before she tries to complete the transformation by purchasing a husband at the pet shop!! :p

I know people should do what makes them happy as long as they aren't hurting themselves/others, but... "Jessica Rabbit" just reeks of a person with very low self esteem. Anybody who changes their entire being to copy someone else just doesn't seem healthy.

It reminds me of the women that go on Maury Povich during those 'celebrity make-over' episodes because their husbands want their 'ugly' wives to become "hot" (a term I use very loosely with the following celebs) just like Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, etc. ...Which makes me roll my eyes at both the wives and the husbands. If someone can't accept their spouse for who they are and what they look like, then they should just end the relationship right then and there. :raven2:

What makes this even more messed up is the fact that Jessica Rabit is pretty much a parody. She's a comedic character drawn in a deliberately unrealistic, exaggerated way. Her looks are unnatural even for a cartoon character.

Oh that's good. I was worried that people didn't find that as creepy to read as "Jessica's" story and virtually ignored it, leaving me to be the only person grossed out at how turned on their boyfriends were. For some reason, I don't like reading about that kind of stuff in people's lives.

That would be so creepy, yet hilarious at the same time.

That's a good point. I always thought that Jessica Rabbit was drawn that way in order to poke fun at the unnatural design cartoonists gave female characters. The fact that her looks are even unnatural for a cartoon character should be a huge sign that her image would work for a person at all.
