I think there's 1 "n" not two (Schurman).
She wanted women to be educated, but to not let it interfere with women's domestic duties.
It was a radical position for its time.
Not sure how one would "prove" it but she probably demonstrated in a book the equal mental capacity of women to men... so why shouldn't they be educated?
