Wolverine

They have been wanting to have Gambit in an X-Men movie for years. They have no connection, however things can change from comic to screen. It will only be a small role I think, as will many of them listed above, apart from Stryker and Silverfox.

Taylor Kitsch has signed on for 3 movies so if Wolverine is successful he will no doubt appear in another movie.
 
Doesn't the movie take part in both the past and present?

If so they could have Gambit feature in the present parts of the film.
 
 
Maybe the film is set partially in the present, with the majority of the film being "flashback".

Maybe Gambit will appear towarRAB the end of the film, leading to his role in another X-Men film.

Is Patrick Stewart going to be in the Magneto film?
 
To answer that question long after it was asked...

When asked in a talk I saw him at last weekend, he hadn't even heard of the film so it doesn't look like it at the moment.
