Woke up...left rib hurts...what gives??

I have no idea what happened here but I woke up and my left rib from the side to the front hurts. Any ideas of what would cause this? What side is the gallbladder on? Thanks!
 
Pain from gallstones is usually on the upper right side and radiates to the scapula. Are you athletic? may have stretched a tendon too much but is always best to see your doctor. :)
