Wobble in 6th gear

I have an 07 Street Glide and have noticed when I'm in 6th gear the bike is more prone to wobble. Its not uncontrollable but any slite movement I make the bike reacts to it. It feels like its looser in 6th. Has anyone else noticed this, or should I be checking things out?

to restate your question, you in 6 th gear I assume running over 70 mph. The bike is running straight. You add some kind of bar, knee on tank, floor board and seat imput and the bike moves?

Going that speed that happens.

Going 70 MPH in 6th gear the bike seems to have more wobble when I move on the bike or hit the road lines, going 70 in 5th the bike seems more sturdy.

This is unscientific, and is probably downright stupid, so I am already regretting suggesting it. However, in 5th gear, the engine is turning over faster, flywheels turning faster, etc. The increased inertia may help the bike remain more stable, although I have never noticed this with my bike. Then there is the issue of engine counterbalancers, if your bike has them also. Could something having to do with out of spec flywheels and / or counterbalncers contribute to this feel? As you say, your speed and other variables remain constant. Has your bike always done this? Incidentally, at 70 mph, I always feel wobbly, but its not the bike...

07 is geared pretty tall. When I am in 6th I am going min 70 mph. Any input you give the bike will cause a reaction. Again the assumption that the bike only moves when you add some kind of input.

You mentioned a different issue relative to seam and rain gooves. That will happen. Are you running stock rubber. There is nothing a matter with the tires but they will track grooves. I will say all tires with track, remember you are on two wheels not four.

I did change to Pirelli Night Dragons and that helped, even they will track in some situations.

I rode 3k miles to sturgis this year and noticed it a little, its not a major wobble and I dont feel like its out of control. I just thought I would ask if anyone else has noticed this and if I should be concerned.
Thank you for the feed back,
Tires are HD dunlops good tread, nitrogen filled to spec.
