hey, have a 2000 ultra 27000 miles with a lot of wobble in bike in the corners. looking at progressive shocks, touring link, glide pro stabilizer system, velva ride. i need advise on where to spend money first.
Low mileage for a 2000, anyway I installed the Glide Pro bushings in the back of my 08 FLHX and noticed dramatic improvement. If you watch his video pro-mo it explains itself. If your going after the swing arm bushings (good place to start) these are pricey but the best IMO, and a good investment for future improvements.
If I had a new wobble, the first thing I would do is check the tires for cupping. It happened to my other bike and I had a wobble going around corners. Checked the tire and sure enough looked like a roller coaster ride on the left side of the front tire. New front tire and wobble is gone. Tires can cup on harleys too (obligatory HD forum statement).
Had same issue on a 2004 Ultra; tire air pressure too high first of all so set to what service manual said. Problem better but not great so I installed the bagger brace and it made a huge improvement. Not endorsing any specific product, I just bought the above brace based on other peoples input.
