Looks like in 2010 they are going to lose more seats and the Dems will have the magic 60. what does this mean for the Grand Old Party? Will they refuse to accept reality like they are now doing or will they accept change?

We'll never change. You will change. When you start to look at your income and think my taxes are too high and the government is wasting my money and I can't buy anything with a minimum wage job or compete with a Chinese or Indian guy who is saving up for a new pair of jeans, well...

Oh, and ask me in 18 months how many seats we're losing. Mid term elections are always a referendum on the presidency. I'd say the bloom is fading from the rose. The "change" we got is more of the same old story. Who would of guessed? Anybody using their brain.

Dream on, dude! after the sh*t that the democraps are pulling, the GOP will GAIN seats!

When the governors had their conference right after the election, one of the main topics was what to do about the party. Some were for going even further to the right, but most thought they needed to loosen their butt cheeks concerning some social issues to bring more fresh blood into the party. JMO, but I believe if they opt for going even further right they are cutting their own throats. Right now they are just sticking together no matter what - whether it's right or wrong. Just another symptom of continuing to keep their heads firmly planted under the sand.

Who cares what their plans will be. I am so happy to see that America is becoming more and more liberal. Its a great thing for us.

as they wont, they have no plans. the stock market is the real baraometer of the obama train wreck. its at a nine year low and the liberal juggernaut will be derailed without the support of it.

We will see what happen at that time, but don't get your panties in a frump...that is a ways off, and people are already starting to see that Obama is not doing EVERYTHING he promised.

Well there will be a lot more whining in here about how the American people were bamboozled by smooth talking politicians...

On the reality front however, I predict that the GOP will then dump their attachment to, and affinity for the far right wing. There will be less pandering to evangelists, and more talk of developing the underclass as a voting block...job creation, and more loans to the so-called "little guy" that they have been giving lip service to, but actually have been ignoring all along

I think you might be in for a surprise. People who voted for Obama are now disgusted at what he is doing. Obama has set the stage for Republicans to take over again. There are very very few people who are happy with the spending bill. And the party started revamping immediately. Soon you will see some who have not been heard from before. The time is ripe.

lol no way... the Democratic Congress is a miserable failure. i guarantee you the Democrats will be losing seats and Obama's approval rating will be below 50% in 2010, no matter how hard the mainstream media tries to portray him as a good president.

well unless the people are blind, ignorant, and foolish, their wont be a democrat left standing when hyper inflation hits.

Very doubtful after the first 2 Obama years. Will probably be more like 94, when after the first 2 Clinton years, the Republicans took control of Congress for first time in 42 years.

Here's the deal. Republicans dont ever plan on losing. Repubican put all thier planning efforts into winning. Here's why: You can lose without spending time and money on developing a plan to lose.

Republicans plan for victories- not defeats. It's why Republicans have NEVER said that the war in Iraq was lost, even when the Democrats did. As a result of this, Obama will be able to withdraw troops from Iraq in triumph and victoriously.
